We recommend replacing wiper blades at least once a year in Hawaii. The Big Island's tropical climate - UV exposure, heat, and frequent rain cycles - causes rubber wiper blades to deteriorate faster than in cooler, drier climates. On the Hilo side, where rainfall is among the highest in the state, you may need to replace them more frequently. Replace them immediately if you notice streaking, skipping, or squeaking.
