Lube, Oil & Filter Change
Lex Brodie's Fast Lube performs conventional oil changes at two Big Island locations in Kailua-Kona and Hilo. A conventional oil change uses standard motor oil and is the most affordable oil change option for vehicles that don't require synthetic or synthetic blend oil. Every oil change at Lex Brodie's Fast Lube includes up to 5 quarts of motor oil, a new oil filter, chassis lubrication, belt and hose inspection, tire pressure check and adjustment, exterior light inspection, and a complete fluid top-off. Most services are completed in 15 minutes or less with no appointment required.

Standard Oil Change FAQs
How often should I get a conventional oil change?
Conventional motor oil should generally be changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Follow your vehicle manufacturer's recommended interval, which is listed in your owner's manual. If you drive frequently in stop-and-go traffic or in Hawaii's warm climate, more frequent changes on the shorter end of that range may be beneficial.
How do I know which type of oil my car needs?
Your vehicle's owner's manual specifies which oil type and grade your manufacturer recommends. If you're not sure, our technicians at Lex Brodie's Fast Lube will check your manufacturer's recommendation and advise you on the right option - conventional, synthetic blend, full synthetic, or high mileage - at no charge.
